A history of school
School No. 29 in Samarkand District was founded in 1926 and the first old building had 8 classrooms. The second old building was built in 1964 and consisted of 4 classrooms. The current two-story modern building was built in 1994. In 1953-1960 Khirojova Kimyo, in 1960-1987 Marufova Mekhri, in 1987-1989 Tursunov Khamrokul, in 1989-1997 Akramov Mirzomakhmud, in 1997-2003 Muinov Mardon, in 2003-2007 Kurbanov Jonon headed the school. Buranova Nodira Bakhronkulovna has been the head of the school since 2007. The school is designed for 422 places and currently has 515 students, who are taught by 38 teachers. A modern gym has been built and equipped with all sports equipment. At present, the school has 16 computer rooms which are equipped with modern computers, interactive whiteboards, scanners and printers, fully equipped English language rooms with all necessary furnitures, biology and chemistry laboratory rooms and physics room have been operating effectively.
