A history of school


 № 43rd specialized public comprehensive school  belonging to the city department of public education of Samarkand city is located in 45 Beruniy street, Beruniy neighborhood.Teachers of this school have  been educating the younger generation on the basis of these relevant decisions and orders,such as Government decrees, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education", "National Program of Personnel Training", the State Youth Policy of Uzbekistan,State Education Standard, the Ministry of Public Education, the Samarkand Regional Department of Public Education, the Samarkand City Department of Public Education.
The first part of the first building of the school was built in 1928, and the second part of the 1st building was built in 1936. The school was considered as a girls' gymnasium in 1936. During World War II, the school was turned into a military hospital. The wounded soldiers were treated there. From 1947 it was a mixed school, where girls and boys were educated. From 1971 the school was given the status of a school of deep learning of the French language.
In 1984, the second building of the school was built and put into operation. In 2018, a separate building with a capacity of 240 students was commissioned. The construction and repair of the school will be completed in February 2022.
The first and second buildings of the school have 28 classrooms, 12 auxiliary rooms, 4 administration rooms. One of them has a computer class, 1 physics room with a laboratory, a separate room for doctors and an isolation room.
The school has a conference hall, where school events and meetings are held. The school has one indoor gym and 3 outdoor sports fields. They are suited for playing  football, volleyball, basketball and gymnastics.
The third building of the school has 10 classrooms, which are as follows: There is a room dedicated to the military class, a room specializing in the French language, rooms and laboratories for physics and chemistry, 4 primary classrooms and a hall for activists, 3 administrative rooms.
In the 2021-2022 academic year, the school has 78 teachers (3 higher, 11 first, 10 second category). The school currently has 1,246 students,they are attached to 46 classes.
The school has 14 classes specializing in French. In addition, in 2017, militarized classes were organized at the school. They currently make up 4 classes. In 2018, the Ambassador of France to Uzbekistan madam Develmore, the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis A. Saidov, the Minister of Public Education Sh. Shermatov, heads of regions and cities visited the school.The school  was named "Lucien Keren",who is  a well-known translator,scientist, historian and interpreter of the book ''Amir Temur tuzuklari'', who conducted research in the life of Amir Temur and published the book of Amir Temur. In 2018, an agreement was signed between the University of Sarbonna in France and this school.Under the agreement, students of Sarbonna University visited the school in 2019 to exchange their experiences. 2 foreign students worked at the school for a month. They learned the methods of teaching here. They got acquainted with the history of Samarkand and the living conditions of Uzbek families.Teachers of the 43rd Specialized State Secondary School: Sanakulov Jakhongir, Zayniyeva Makhbuba and Gurshumova Yelena won the "Best ESSE" contest and went  to France to improve their skills.Cooperation agreements have been signed between this school and Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, Samarkand State University on the basis of full voluntariness and equality, in order to implement educational and methodological and scientific-practical cooperation and improve the quality and effectiveness of education. The learners, especially the students studying in the department  of  French language at SamSU, are conducting their internships at this school.
Our French teachers have V2 and S1 degrees. They successfully passed the tests at the annual CEFRE and TSF international competitions. They also received a DEL-DELF diploma. Sanakulov Jakhongir S1, Chasovskikh Natalya DELF 2020, Zayniyeva MA TSF 2021, Gurshumova Ye 2018 TSF. Pupils of our school actively participated  in the International Festival "FRANCOFONIA" held by the French Embassy in Tashkent and won the "MOLYER" prize.
Over the years, schoolchildren took part in city, regional and Republican science Olympiads in French and won honorable 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.,rewarded with gifts.
