About myself
Abduvakhidov Safar was born on May 20, 1943 in the village of Eski Jamboy, Jambay district, Samarkand region, in a farmer family. He studied in high school in 1950-1960. In 1960-1962 he worked in construction in Tashkent and Samarkand. In 1962 he became a student of Samarkand State University. He served in the army from 1964 to 1967. After graduating from the university in 1970, he was sent to work as a geography teacher at the secondary school No. 5 in Bulungur district. In September 1972 he was hired to work at the Department of Pedagogy of SamSU and began his career. At the Department of Pedagogy he worked as an assistant, senior teacher, associate professor. He defended his dissertation on May 5, 1982 at the Specialized Council of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute under the leadership of Honored Scientist of Uzbekistan, Professor A.S.Erkinov. From 1998 to 2002 he worked as the head of the department of pedagogy and psychology at the Samarkand Regional Institute for Advanced Training of Teachers named after M. Bekhbudi. From 2000 to 2005 he worked as an associate professor at the Department of Geoecology and General Natural Geography, Faculty of Geography, SamSU.On September 19, 2005 he worked as the head of the department of pedagogy-psychology and preschool education at the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. He is married, has three sons and two daughters.
