In 1932,school building consisting of a three-room, one terrace was built on the territory of the current “Ahillik” neighbourhood (former Kattakurgan Arik in the Samarkand district). The school building was made of mud brick, the top was plastered with straw and mud, and started its activity as a branch of the primary school of the 7th secondary school. Bagirova Makharram Kobuljonovna worked as a director at the school. In 1945-1946, two more rooms were built and the administration was appointed to the secondary school No. 43 in 1954-1955. In 1956-1957, two more classes were added to the class, forming the primary and 8th grades. In the meantime, in 1960, Musa Mamedov became the director, and in addition to these old buildings in 1962-1963 4 classrooms and kitchen, teachers' room were erected. In 1970, Nurmukhammad Mamadaliyev started his career as a school director. During his leadership career, he built a sports field at the school. During this period, Turob Talibov worked as the school's deputy director for academic affairs, and in 1972, H. Gulyamov became the director of the working youth evening school, where he worked for several years. In the 1970s, the school building was expanded and started its activity as a 10-year education system. During these years, school No. 43 was transferred from the Samarkand District Department of Public Education to the Samarkand City Department of Public Education, and it was considered as a school No. 53 named after Maksud Shaykhzoda.The school was rebuilt in 1993-2005. From April 1, 2006, pupils started studying in the new building. The current school building has 21 classrooms, a computer, a library, a gym, a kitchen and grounds. The school grounds have been landscaped and planted with greenery.
